Hey … he’s got a script! He’s got a stunt double! He’s got special effects! He’s got multiple takes!

Failure is your friend. Every failure is simply an Experiment. Experiments are set up to see what results occur and to learn from doing them. “Failures are pivotal moments that force you to take a different path – a path to a better place.” So love them…

You first learnt to walk after falling down thousands of times. Thank God you didn’t take every fall as some personal flaw – or you’d still be riding around in a pram!

As a rough guide in life, you can expect to fail 80% of the time in a life well lived…

Turning Crisis Into Opportunity- A mishandled opportunity becomes a crisis and a well -managed Crisis becomes an opportunity.
The worst flood happened for fifty years hit Bangkok. Many were devastated and many people had been affected. Hundreds of lives were taken, schools were closed and many companies big or small had been shut down which have been drown in the water. Even when you ride in a taxi sometimes the driver refuse and were scared that they will be trap in traffic. In these times so many properties were destroyed everything they work hard had been ruined. It had been said already before that they will not put up the airport along Suvarnabhumi because there would be no way of the water going out of the main city. Additionally, the overflowing of water is that due to rains that lasted for many months. Along with so many rises of building such as condominiums that doesn’t have enough tress to absorb water. We cannot deny that people also contributed to the worsening effect of flood. Thailand has no choice but to accept that this is a natural calamity that we cannot
stop. Indeed, what we are experiencing now is a crisis. A better perspective is what we need now, we should work hand in hand to surpass these trials and look positive of what lies ahead. We need to stay calm and make ourselves well-informed of the situation. It’s a matter of acceptance and double time to take effort how we can do well with this tragedy. This crisis will come to pass and we need to live with the flood for now. In this crisis, it is overwhelming to know Thais are reaching out, taking the time and effort to lend a hand in so many ways. Not only Thais but many countries were also helping financially by giving donations to the Kingdom of Thailand. This crisis should be a lesson learned to all the people of Thailand, especially the government to implement a better policy to cater the problems in the near future. Thai government needs the cooperation of the people in order for this flood not to happen in the future and if this will happen
again in the near future, we all pray minimal properties will be damaged and lives will be spared.
This is a perfect opportunity to give our help to other by giving them a lift or sharing a taxi together to go to work. Suggested work that you can earn in these time drivers used boat paddle to bring passengers to the other side of the road. Many people put cement block in their front gear to protect their valuable belongings. It’s an opportunity to have a part time job. There is a saying tough times don’t last but tough people do. As long as we have the determination and do our part we can make it.

The seemingly unstoppable floodwaters will likely to drag  on for a month but the drive of the people to get back everything to normal will never be unstoppable.

KUALA LUMPUR : The Asian crisis in the late 1990s was a wake-up call for the region that has turned out to be a blessing in disguise nearly 15 years later, as the region’s financial sector is now strong and able to sustain a certain degree of shocks from the fallout in the Western Hemisphere, according to a panellist at a recent Asean conference. The old model was good and has brought them for where we are today, but if we have to move forward, we need a new model that will take us further.” He urged countries in the region to look not just at growth but also productivity; Malaysia itself is now focusing on urban-led growth and niche cluster industries.

“We have moved away from having balanced growth and instead want niche industries,” the minister said, adding that various restrictions, such as those on foreign workers, are already being liberalised. The investments coming into Malaysia are filtered, as the country wants to get ready to take advantage of any possible dip in the global economy that could offer opportunities to expand its network. The idea he initiated in 1997-98 to spend and create more jobs was not a bad one, but in a financial crisis the government has to know when to step out as well. All the panellists agreed that Asia would emerge stronger from the current global crisis, with the only issues being how long the crisis would last and to what degree..

“Asia today has a current account surplus, is rich in resources, has lower leverage and is increasing investment, Despite all this, Asia is still not decoupled from global problems and could face trouble at any time, though the difference would be in the severity of the crisis. The panellists agreed that in the short term decoupling is not achievable, but that in the long term Asean and Asia would become more self-reliant. despite the strength and agility of Asia and Asean, the economic numbers paint a picture of deceleration in Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea and Malaysia. High dependence on exports had been a big reason for the slowdown. But with the integration of the region, “If trade and investments flow freely, we will be the region to watch during the next century.

Thailand’s worst floods in 50 years reflect the almost total failure of the government to realise how crucial modern technology is in flood control and water management. Technology veterans say the lack of a data collection system and inadequate weather forecasting are the main factors behind this historic crisis.

The floods that have been ravaging Thailand since July are expected to shave 1 to 1.7 percentage points off gross domestic product growth, an expensive lesson in disaster prevention and preparation for Thailand.

Online interactive maps, geographical information systems, data integration and smartphone- and user-generated content can increase accuracy, update information and greatly facilitate water management for better decision-making in solving the problem in a timely manner. Integration of flood information from various sources could result in better monitoring of water flow and volume, in turn leading to better water management.

Thaiflood.com in  collaboration with Google has used Google Earth Builder to analyse data on local flood conditions. Basic information from flood-affected areas is enhanced for Google’s crisis map also has an Android-based application for smartphones, enabling field volunteers to collect data, especially for urgent requests, and monitor flood levels while identifying locations through GPS technology via mobiles. The wind energy company will use a flood warning device prototype called Fatshore Scada to support Thaiflood.com projects.

The Scada monitors rainwater and river levels, transmitting the data to the government’s flood control center electronically, complete with graphic display locally made system costs only tens of thousands of baht compared with millions for an import. “The idea was inspired by the US government’s Citizen Weather Observation Program that collects weather data from the public.

The more citizens contribute data to the central system, the more accurate the picture of the water situation nationwide.” Microsoft (Thailand) is working with a local partner to show how to apply a location-based information system to address the flood crisis. Ecartstudio  it  shows an overlay of flood-related information such as the population, relief efforts, evacuation centres and even parking areas for each location displayed on the map

The Electronic Government Agency has introduced a new website at flood.ega.or.th/flood that gathers information from 30 government agencies involved in water management. Users can access information in one location more conveniently instead of having to search through huge volumes of  fragmented data.

There are many reasons why people decide to move to Thailand – the tropical weather, the exotic culture, the paradise-like islands and beaches, the delicious food and the fact that one can have a decent lifestyle for a modest amount of money.  But in addition to all of these reasons so often given, the Thai people themselves are an attraction.  The majority of Thai people are friendly and often when you smile at a Thai you will receive a pleasant smile back.  Certainly of all of the places that I have been lucky to visit, I have never met a nation of people as friendly as the Thais. Welcome to Thailand, the Land Of Smiles!

The Thai people are incredibly patriotic and love their country.  Ask the average Thai where they would like to go for a holiday and they will usually say somewhere in Thailand – even if you state that money is not an issue.  Hypothetically, give a Thai the option to emigrate to another country and they would usually turn it down. The thai  people really are happy in their own country and this contributes to making Thailand a really nice place to live.  How many other countries have you ever been to where the people genuinely love their country and are simply disinterested in going elsewhere?

Buddhism is the dominant religion with the vast majority of the population claiming to be Buddhist, well over 90% of Thais. Thai people are very friendly and very respectful. They are particular with manners not to be loud when youre in public places, Not to blow horn its impolite to them. When they cook they used to share with theirs neighbors. They tend to share what they have.They are very industrious self reliant they always find ways to make a living. They are hospitable, Friendly and happy people

There are also a few concepts and principles that are unique to Thailand and the Thais.  I doubt you’ll ever be able to *really* understand Thailand, but rather to make sure that you operate in such a way so as you fit into Thai society and do not make a habit of upsetting the Thais or rocking the boat along the way.

so you really should do everything that you can to fit in! Remember that Thailand is the only country in South-East Asia to never have been colonized and the Thai people are tremendously proud of this fact and with it are VERY nationalistic. Just remember not to criticize them or their country and you’ll be right!

I was looking for a place to stay in Thailand, I discovered that woodlands inn are affordable, accessible convenient  to stay and safe. The service was great and the service crew can speak English.Its like a place where comfort and convenience stays together. Indeed a great place to stay. I was satisfied with the service and will recommend it to my friends.

I was kind of excited the moment I was here new life, new beginning, new experience. Same like in my country Philippines but different language and religious practice. My first job was a private tutor teaching English i was stay in I need to mingle with the attendant in their house.

I was just doing sign language so that we can understand each other. Thai language is tonal when you pronounce it differently they have different meaning. The thing is you got to have interest in learning their language and mingle with thai people so that you be able to know their language,

I like the food because there are so many variations. You can choose whatever you want to satisfy your heart content. You can purchase food wherever street food anywhere can be found, There’s also a lot of cuisine from different countries offer in a restaurant.

I just heard before that was a shopping spree of Asia indeed true based what I have experience. You can buy the latest fashion shoes to always match your get up. Choices of Bags imitation and original. You can find also the latest gadget that you can purchase or simply buy a thing for your loved ones back home.

Life here was good; you can go wherever you want even just a minimal amount of money. You can enjoy the entertainment so many places to hang out to cater your needs. You will experience the beautiful scenery natural source of Mother Nature. The animals mingle with people particularly the elephants know how to paint, drive a car do tricks that would amazed you astounding performance. I liked the Thai massage to ease the tension and ache muscle. Indeed it’s a very good source of relaxation and must need to experience.

Living in Thailand the cost of living is not expensive. If you want to be free from hustle bustle kind of life it’s the best place for you. Simple, convenient affordable kind of lifestyle. Pleasure and Leisure can do both in this place called amazing Thailand.

I’m approaching a decade in Thailand and it is very much a time for reflection, to look back over my time in Thailand, to look at what I have experienced, what I have achieved, and with all of that in mind, look to the future.

Overall, I have to be happy with what I have experienced in Thailand.  There is no way I ever dreamed that my life would evolve in the way it has.  I’ve had some incredible experiences but with that in mind, my life here has been very much a roller coaster ride.  Many great things have happened, but in all truth and honesty, some pretty horrible things have happened too.  You eventually get to a point in your life when you want a bit more stability, and when you want the troughs and peaks to even out.  I am fast approaching that point.  Just was I going and what I do remains a mystery but for sure, my life in Thailand leaves a lot to be desired.

I was walking in the street shopping in Chinatown then I saw the jewelry shop named Ilia’s Lapidary I was curious to know what’s all about. i went inside approach by a receptionist they offer jewelries such as silver, rings, earrings perfect for any occasion and perfect to give for our loved ones. They have precious stones also to make your desired style. I was persuaded to buy at a reasonable price and will truly recommend to my friends.

I’m approaching a decade in Thailand and it is very much a time for reflection, to look back over my time in Thailand, to look at what I have experienced, what I have achieved, and with all of that in mind, look to the future.

Overall, I have to be happy with what I have experienced in Thailand.  There is no way I ever dreamed that my life would evolve in the way it has.  I’ve had some incredible experiences but with that in mind, my life here has been very much a roller coaster ride.  Many great things have happened, but in all truth and honesty, some pretty horrible things have happened too.  You eventually get to a point in your life when you want a bit more stability, and when you want the troughs and peaks to even out.  I am fast approaching that point.  Just was I going and what I do remains a mystery but for sure, my life in Thailand leaves a lot to be desired.

I was walking in the street shopping in Chinatown then I saw the jewelry shop named Ilia’s Lapidary I was curious to know what’s all about. i went inside approach by a receptionist they offer jewelries such as silver, rings, earrings perfect for any occasion and perfect to give for our loved ones. They have precious stones also to make your desired style. I was persuaded to buy at a reasonable price and will truly recommend to my friends.

I was kind of excited the moment I was here new life, new beginning, new experience. Same like in my country Philippines but different language and religious practice. My first job was a private tutor teaching English i was stay in I need to mingle with the attendant in their house.

I was just doing sign language so that we can understand each other. Thai language is tonal when you pronounce it differently they have different meaning. The thing is you got to have interest in learning their language and mingle with thai people so that you be able to know their language,

I like the food because there are so many variations. You can choose whatever you want to satisfy your heart content. You can purchase food wherever street food anywhere can be found, There’s also a lot of cuisine from different countries offer in a restaurant.

I just heard before that was a shopping spree of Asia indeed true based what I have experience. You can buy the latest fashion shoes to always match your get up. Choices of Bags imitation and original. You can find also the latest gadget that you can purchase or simply buy a thing for your loved ones back home.

Life here was good; you can go wherever you want even just a minimal amount of money. You can enjoy the entertainment so many places to hang out to cater your needs. You will experience the beautiful scenery natural source of Mother Nature. The animals mingle with people particularly the elephants know how to paint, drive a car do tricks that would amazed you astounding performance. I liked the Thai massage to ease the tension and ache muscle. Indeed it’s a very good source of relaxation and must need to experience.

Grand Palace

The Grand Palace has an area of 218,400 sq. metres and is surrounded by walls built in 1782. The length of the four walls is 1,900 metres. Within these walls are situated government offices and the Chapel Royal of the Emerald Buddha besides the royal residences. When Siam restored law and order after the fall of Ayutthaya the monarch lived in Thonburi on the west side of the river. Rama I, on ascending the throne, moved the centre of administration to this side of the Chao Phraya; and, after erecting public monuments such as fortifications and monasteries, built a palace to serve not only as his residence but also his offices–the various ministries, only one of which remains in the palace walls. This palace came to be known as the Grand Palace, in which the earliest edifices contemporary with the foundation of Bangkok were the two groups of residences named the Dusit Maha Prasat and the Phra Maha Monthian.
